Doodle-Brush · Privacy policy

Drawings stay on the device.

Doodle-Brush is a colouring book app for iPhone and iPad by HeyLabs (Vaibhav Singh). It is made for children to use together with a parent. It has no account, no sign-in, no ads and no chat, and nothing a child makes is shared with other people inside the app.

This policy is written for parents. It says what the app stores, what it sends, and how to delete it. Effective: 5 October 2026.

What stays on your device

These are stored on the device only. The app does not upload them:

If you have Apple’s device backup turned on, this data is included in your normal backup, under your own Apple account. We cannot see it.

Analytics

Doodle-Brush uses Amplitude, an analytics service, to understand how the app is used and to fix problems. The app sends:

The app does not send the child’s name, the profile photo, artworks, contacts or location. Search text is not sent, only the number of characters typed.

This data is not used for advertising, is not used to track anyone across other apps or websites, and is not sold.

Notifications

Notifications are optional. If a parent allows them, the app registers a push token with Firebase Cloud Messaging, a Google service, and with Apple’s push service, so a notification can reach the device.

The app also schedules “today’s page is ready” reminders on the device itself. You can turn reminders off in the app’s Settings, or turn off all notifications in iOS Settings > Notifications > Doodle-Brush.

Purchases

Doodle-Brush Premium is an optional monthly auto-renewing subscription. It is sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. The app checks on the device, using Apple’s StoreKit, whether a subscription is active. We never see your card or other payment details.

Photos

The app asks for permission to add to Photos only when you save an artwork there. That permission lets it add pictures. It does not let it read your library. A profile photo is one that a parent picks, and it stays on the device.

Sharing

An artwork is shared only when you choose Share. The iOS share sheet handles it, and what happens next depends on the app you pick.

Widget

The Home Screen widget shows the title of the last artwork. The app passes that title to the widget on the device, through an App Group. It does not leave the device.

Children

Doodle-Brush is a children’s app, so we keep what it collects small. The app does not ask for a child’s real name, email address, phone number, contacts or location. A profile name and photo are optional and stay on the device. What the app does send is listed under Analytics and Notifications above.

Parents can email us at any time to ask a question or to ask us to delete data.

Deleting your data

To remove the drawings, use “Clear all saved art” in the app’s Settings. To remove everything the app stores on the device, delete the app.

To ask us to delete analytics data, email us. Analytics data is linked to random IDs and not to a name, so we need those IDs to find it. Write to us and we will help you get them and confirm when the data is deleted.

Changes

If this policy changes, this page will be updated. Last updated: 5 October 2026.
