Monk Mode · Terms and conditions

Terms for using Monk Mode.

Monk Mode: Quit Porn is an iPhone app by HeyLabs (Vaibhav Singh), called “we” and “us” below. These terms apply when you download or use it. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app. Effective: 18 October 2026.

Licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Monk Mode on Apple devices that you own or control, for private, non-commercial use, as allowed by the App Store’s usage rules. The app is licensed to you, not sold.

Who it is for

Monk Mode is made for adults who want to stop watching porn. It is not directed at children.

Not medical advice

Monk Mode offers general information, tools and encouragement to help you change a habit. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Recovery milestones describe what people commonly report, not medical facts. If you feel low, anxious or unable to stop, talk to a doctor or counsellor. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

The Safari blocker

The blocker works in Safari and in apps that open links with Safari, only after you turn it on in Settings. It blocks a list of known adult sites and words, plus the sites you add. No blocker catches everything, so it is a help, not a guarantee. For other browsers and apps, use the Screen Time settings that the app's phone setup guides you through.

No account

There is no sign-in. Your plan and logs are kept on your iPhone, and in your own iCloud if you turn on backup. If you delete the app without a backup, your data cannot be recovered, because we do not hold a copy.

App lock and iCloud

App lock and iCloud backup are optional and controlled by you. How your data is handled is described in the Monk Mode privacy policy.

Using the app

Please do not copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law allows. Helpline numbers shown in the app belong to their operators; calls are between you and them.

Ownership

The app, its design, text and artwork belong to HeyLabs. Your own entries, such as journal notes, belong to you.

No warranty

The app is provided “as is”. We work to keep it accurate and reliable, but we cannot promise it will be error-free or always available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using the app.

Changes

We may update these terms. The latest version is always on this page, and using the app after a change means you accept it.
