Monk Mode · Privacy policy

Monk Mode collects nothing.

Monk Mode: Quit Porn is an iPhone app by HeyLabs (Vaibhav Singh). It has no account, no analytics, no ads, no third-party SDKs and no tracking. It makes no network requests of its own and works fully offline. Effective: 18 October 2026.

What stays on your device

Your plan (name, age, start date, how often you watched and for how long, your reasons), the urges and relapses you log with their triggers, mood and notes, your check-ins, journal, 30-day plan progress, reward goals, phone setup ticks, the sites you add to the blocker and your support contact are stored on your iPhone only. The home-screen widgets read the same data on your device.

Safari blocker

If you turn on the Monk Mode Blocker in Safari settings, the app hands Safari a list of sites and words to block: a built-in list of adult sites and any sites you add. Blocking happens inside Safari. Safari never tells the app, or us, which pages you visit or which were blocked.

App lock

If you turn on app lock, iOS checks your Face ID, Touch ID or passcode. The app only learns whether the check succeeded. Your face and passcode never reach the app.

iCloud backup

If you turn on iCloud backup, a copy of your Monk Mode data is saved to your own private iCloud account so you can restore it on a new iPhone. It lives in your iCloud. We cannot see it.

Notifications

Morning boosts, evening check-ins, milestone cheers and nudges before your riskiest hour are optional and scheduled locally on your iPhone. Their wording never names the habit. Nothing is sent from a server.

Calls and sharing

Calling your support contact or a helpline opens your phone's dialer only when you tap it. Sharing a progress card uses the system share sheet and happens only when you choose it; the card never names the habit.

Health advice

Monk Mode offers general information and support, not medical or psychological advice. If you feel low, anxious or unable to stop, talk to a doctor or counsellor.

Age

Monk Mode is made for adults and is not directed at children. It collects nothing from anyone.

Deleting your data

Profile > Delete all data removes everything Monk Mode keeps on your iPhone, including the blocker's list, and its iCloud backup. Deleting the app removes the data on the device too. You can also remove the backup in Settings > Apple Account > iCloud > Manage Storage.
