QuitPath · Privacy policy

QuitPath collects nothing.

QuitPath - Quit smoking is an iPhone app by HeyLabs (Vaibhav Singh). It has no account, no analytics, no ads, no third-party SDKs and no tracking. It makes no network requests of its own and works fully offline.

What stays on your device

Your quit plan (name, age, quit date, how much you smoked and what it cost, your reasons), the cravings and slips you log, your check-ins, journal notes and savings goals are stored on your iPhone only. The home-screen widgets read the same data on your device.

Apple Health

If you turn on Apple Health, QuitPath reads your steps, resting heart rate and heart rate variability to show them beside your progress, and can save your mindful breathing sessions to Health. Health data is read on your device, is never stored in QuitPath's own files or backups, and is never used for advertising or shared with anyone. You can change this at any time in the Health app under Sharing > Apps > QuitPath.

iCloud backup

If you turn on iCloud backup, a copy of your QuitPath data is saved to your own private iCloud account so you can restore it on a new iPhone. It lives in your iCloud. We cannot see it.

Notifications

Morning boosts, evening check-ins, milestone cheers and craving-time nudges are optional and scheduled locally on your iPhone. Nothing is sent from a server.

Calls and sharing

Call a friend and the quitline open your phone's dialer only when you tap them. The support contact you save stays on your device. Sharing a progress card uses the system share sheet and happens only when you choose it.

Health advice

QuitPath offers general information and support, not medical advice. Talk to a doctor about stop-smoking medicines or if you feel unwell.

Children

QuitPath is not directed at children, and it collects nothing from anyone.

Deleting your data

Profile > Delete all data removes everything QuitPath keeps on your iPhone and its iCloud backup. Deleting the app removes the data on the device too. You can also remove the backup in Settings > Apple Account > iCloud > Manage Storage.
